ABOUT ME

I am Xiaoyi Ma (马潇依), currently pursuing a Master's degree at the University of Victoria under the guidance of Dr. Ruobing Dong and Dr. Pinghui Huang. My academic journey began at the University of Toronto, where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in astronomy and physics in 2021. During my undergraduate studies, I conducted research with Dr. Adam Hincks on AGN light curves and Dr. Wei Zhu on microlensing.

My research primarily revolves around the formation of exoplanets, specifically focusing on the vortices in protoplanetary disks. I employ both numerical simulations and observational methods in my investigations.
